Aluminum Patio Cover Kits - Do-It-Yourself!

Our aluminum patio cover kits cut the costs of labour, saving you even more money than our already great priced patio covers. Remember, we are Kelowna's only patio and deck cover manufacturer! By Doing-It-Yourself with Tropicana, you can be assured that you will get the job done with our easy-to-use building manual. Many people with all different skill levels have built our kits, and you can too!

Our patio cover kits come in various sizes, categorized by 'Projection'. Projection is the distance out from the house to the end of the patio cover. See the diagram below. If you don't see the size you're interested in here, custom packaged kits can be created for you.

All projections can have varying widths depending on your needs.

Measuring for a new Patio Cover

1. Projection: (when attached to the house wall under the eavestrough and fascia board). Measure from the wall of the house, to the edge of the area to be covered and not just to the post locations in 1 foot increments.
   OR
   Projection: (when attached to the fascia board). Measure from the fascia of the house, to the edge of the area to be covered and not just to the post locations in 1 foot increments.
    
   
2. Width: Measure the width of the area you want to cover.
    
3. Post Heights: Standard post heights are 8’, 10’, 12’, and can be cut down to the height you need. (Taller posts are available)
   SINGLE STORY HOMES: Measure from the ground up to the bottom of the eave/fascia board.
   TWO-STORY HOMES: Measure from the ground up to the cover height you desire

Reminder: You should add 1 foot to both sides and the front for an overhang.
